In May of 1964, Kroft arranged an investment in a newly formed company called Controlled Environments Limited. His plan was to develop environmentally controlled rooms and chambers for applications in agricultural research.
Richard became fully engaged as President and was the driving force behind establishing the technology the company uses to uniquely equip researchers and growers with solutions to meet the worlds demand for plant-based food and health products. He is a dedicated volunteer in our community. Richard has served for 23 years on the Board of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in a variety of positions, including President and Chair of the committee that built the home of the RWB. A retired Canadian Senator, today Richard is Chairman of Conviron.
